ABOUT THIS COURSE

Uncertainties in business markets, politics and society show us just how critical financial security is. Yet, the global retirement savings gap is predicted to reach $400 trillion by 2050.1 This leaves a large portion of the world’s population with insufficient capital to fund their post-work years. The answer is to start investing as soon as possible. But, for many people, one of the barriers to generating wealth is simply not knowing how to.

The Investment Management: Investing With Data and Technology online short course from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Advanced Computing for Executives (ACE) is designed to ensure that the complexities surrounding finance don't stop you from growing your personal investments. Over six weeks, you’ll explore the fundamental principles of investment portfolios and dispel common misconceptions about financial concepts and investing. Covering topics including risk appetite, investment methodologies and behavioural influences, this course aims to grow your decision-making confidence and ability to manage your personal portfolio. If you're interested in data extraction and analysis automation, you'll also have the option of completing an activity that allows you to backtest your investment strategies. Whether you're looking to manage your personal investments or upskill in your career, this course teaches you to analyse, build and rebalance a portfolio according to changing market trends.
